Who this is for

For professionals serious about leaving.

You have expertise and options, and you've been working out how to leave for a while. You want somewhere that fits your life, a plan you can trust, and the truth about what each country actually requires.

Staying put

  • Watching your options narrow, doing nothing about it
  • Guessing at visa rules from aggregator sites that are out of date
  • Being treated as a lead to close by everyone you ask
  • Waiting to feel "ready" while the window stays open, for now

Building your Plan B

  • A shortlist of countries that actually fit your situation
  • The real requirements, checked against official sources
  • A portable income built toward the published requirements, if you need one
  • A move you make on your terms, with roots for the long term

How we're different

Straight answers, from someone who made the move.

Most relocation advice comes from people selling you something at the end of it. This comes from someone who left, rebuilt a life abroad, and will tell you the honest version, even when it's not what you hoped to hear.

Honest to a fault

Every requirement is checked against official government sources and updated when the rules change. You get the real picture, including the parts other people leave out to make the sale.

Built on real experience

I left the UK after Brexit and rebuilt in Portugal on a portable income. What you learn here is grounded in that firsthand experience.

A path, whatever your starting point

Whether you already have the capital or you need to build the income toward a pathway's requirements, there's a real route for your situation. The quiz points you to yours.

Meet the founder

Meet Samantha

When Brexit took away my rights as an EU citizen, I used my last months of freedom to leave the UK. I founded an online business in 2018, and that portable income enabled me to rebuild in Portugal on my own terms, and access the life I wanted.

My LinkedIn audience has grown to more than 26,000 people, and I've won multiple 5-figure client relationships through LinkedIn. Today I also train senior leaders to turn complex AI into practical implementation. Digital Émigré is how I help other people build fulfilling lives abroad using their existing skills and expertise.

What people say

From people I've helped make the move.

"Samantha supported us with faultless advice right from the beginning of our journey to become residents of Portugal. Thanks in no small part to her expertise, we received our 2-year residency and can make this beautiful country our home."
Helen B, relocated to Cascais
"From the get-go Samantha was really helpful, not trying to sell me anything, and very understanding of my confused mind. I got exactly the answers I was looking for. I'm now planning my first visit to Madeira."
Adrien Sirjacques, relocating to Madeira
"Samantha was great: measured, unbiased, and very informative. She knows the process very well. A great opportunity to brainstorm with someone about our potential move to Portugal."
Yuliya Keselman, planning a move to Portugal

The real question

You've found the countries. But how would you earn a living once you're there?

It's the question our audience asks most. A move usually depends on building enough portable income to meet a pathway's requirements. The most realistic way to do that is a service built on skills you already have: a few good clients can add up to a real monthly income, and you can reach them straight away on LinkedIn.

That's where the Launchpad comes in.

How it works

3 steps from stuck to settled.

A clear path, in the honest order. You find the fit first, then build what you need, then make the move on solid ground.

Clear guidance, clear boundaries

Build a life abroad through what you know. Your expertise is capital too.

Digital Émigré provides independent educational content, planning tools, and business training. We help you explore potential destinations, understand published pathway requirements, and build the portable income behind your move.

We don't provide personalized legal, immigration, or tax advice, prepare applications, or determine your eligibility. When your situation needs individual advice, we point you to a qualified professional in the relevant country. The country quiz is a research and planning starting point. It can't determine your legal eligibility.
